We are the sum of all our experiences.
Yes, that’s what I believe. And when I look at this photo it reminds me of my journey to today. Can you spot me? I was a dancer. I still dance. But now more in my heart or with my husband. Certainly not on stage. Yoga has replaced the 3-5 hours a day of dance practice. High heels or sneakers have replaced the torturous toe shoes. Family life and friends have replaced eating and sleeping for dance. Oh those days of black leotards and black tights, red skirts, steamy classrooms and endlessly exhausting days: As I write this I’m listening to Schubert’s Piano Sonata #13 in A. The music that moved me since the days I started walking, the notes that carried my soul to dance, that love is still there. It still moves me. It touches me. Vivaldi, Schumann, Bach, Chopin, Mozart, Schubert…
Yes I am the sum of my experiences.
We all are.
